Did you know Bishop Eric McDaniel Could sing good gospel songs?

After listening to Co-pastor Subrenia preach a sermon that blessed us, we wanted to see what was her husband up to lately.  If you recall the McDaniel's previously took over Bishop Joby and Dr. Sheryl Brady's church in Durham, North Carolina until there was an alleged accusation against the man of God, Bishop Eric McDaniel.  After that situation, the McDaniel's never stopped preaching God's Word and continued on with their own church.

We just happened to find this video on You Tube of Bishop Eric McDaniel singing like they used to, in the black church.   You cannot even find black preachers singing the way he is singing on this following video, because they have been so focused on fame and fortune, they are no longer blessed to sing with with the anointing.  Furthermore, most black preachers have gotten so sophisticated they would be ashamed to allow God to use them, the way we see Bishop Eric McDaniel singing with the anointing.  Also, we just remembered, Bishop Eric McDaniel is a gospel artist, but he's not like the average one.

Bishop TD Jakes says There Are More People in Theaters on Friday Than in Pews on Sunday

Bishop T. D. Jakes gives an important reason for using the media to preach God's Word.  Allegedly, he says more people are in the theaters on Friday than in the pews on Sundays.  We can agree with him, although it's been that way for a longtime.  Christian television has been around for many years, since the late 60's and early 70's.  If people love God enough, they will seek him.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, Jakes says, "The great commission calls Christians to go into the world and spread the Good News, we can use television, we can use books, but there are more people in the theaters on Friday nights than the pews on Sunday morning."

Yes, it's very important for us to use the media to preach God's Word, but it is also very important that Americans and people in foreign countries continue to attend church every Sunday and through the week.

SCR Take on 'Preachers of LA: Tea and Sympathy'

First and foremost, we want to express how displeased we are of Bishop Noel Jones relationship with his lady friend, Loretta.  How can you be a man of God, preaching His Word to lost souls and your lost yourself?  Now, we have heard hearsay of Bishop Noel Jones alleged affairs with different women, but we never thought we would actually see it on this show, 'Preachers of LA.'

Bishop Noel Jones nonchalance about Loretta showing up at the tea party as his lady friend is a clear sign God's church needs to return to complete holiness.  Again, as we always say, it is not tradition to be holy, it is God's way.   God is sick and tired of men and women preaching his word with all the filth and carnality in their own lives.  Just what do you have to say to a sinner, if you are allegedly sinning yourself.   If you are fornicating, how can you preach to the fornicator?  If you are fornicating, how can you preach to the murderer?   Sin is sin and any preacher who has a girlfriend or boyfriend on the side has no business in the pulpit.

As for Deitrick Haddon's fiance who is now his wife, Dominique should have never been invited, because she is with a man who is allegedly too carnal and the both of them know nothing about being holy.   This tea party should have been strictly for holy women, married to holy men.  There is a woman who was the first wife to Pastor Haddon and she, Damita who should not be ever forgotten about.  She was the woman who stood by him to fight same sex marriage, let's not forget.  So, if they fought something so unethical together, there's no reason why they should not have remained together.  First ladies of the church should not carry on as though the first wife does not exist.  There should be prayer for reconciliation, but if not, the new woman should never be invited any tea party for first ladies if she did not meet her man in the guidelines, strictly according to God's Word. Furthermore, there were alleged nude photos of Deitrick Haddon surfacing the internet, so this is an unholy couple and not an example of how a pastor and first lady should be for today's church.  Therefore, Dominique should never be accepted in the circle of first ladies, especially if they are living strictly according to God's Word as holy women.

Former Homeless Man Now Pastor Sleeps in Dumpster to Help the Poor

Although Pastor Langdon Cassidy is no longer homeless, he is showing the love of Jesus Christ, by returning to the dumpsters.   He's sending a strong message by allowing people to see him as a homeless man to help people whom are yet homeless.  Tell us, how many pastors will make a stand like Pastor Cassidy, unashamedly?
According to ChristianPost.com , Pastor Langdon Cassidy of the Matthew 25:35-40 Ministry, a ministry solely focused on helping the homeless in Houston and its surrounding communities, took on the challenge to "walk in a homeless persons shoes" after having a series of dreams about it. In his recurring dreams, he constantly found himself inside of a dumpster while trying to grab onto everything that people would hand to him.
In the meantime, we will continue to pray for Pastor Langdon Cassidy, but we want to stress to the rest of you ministers of the gospel.  If you used to be homeless, don't forget where you came from, because God calling for men and women to help the poor and if you have a testimony, you can help a lot of people come out of poverty.  Of course, it's wonderful to always hear pastors testify about being on drugs, on alcohol and once being pimps. but we don't hear as many admitting to being poor.

2,500 Christian Leaders Rally Against Gay Marriage in Chicago: Would Dr. MLK Join Them if he was alive?

We are living in a very sad age.  Who would have thought equality would mean to go against God's Word in America?   When Dr. Martin Luther King was living, we wonder who's side would he be on?  If he was a holy man, he probably would be marching with these 2,500 christian leaders in Chicago who oppose gay marriage, even after he fought for equality for African Americans.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, as many as 2,500 people, waving signs like "Marriage is Sacred" and "Marriage One Man One Woman," crowded into the Statehouse to keep the heat on the Illinois House and to block passage of the Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act, which has been stalled since the spring.

(Black) Christians are in a difficult challenge today and we wonder if Dr. King would join this rally against gay marriage, if he was alive today?   What did equality really mean to Dr. Martin Luther King, did mean going against God's Word to please homosexuals?  If we were to go back in time and ask him, he probably would think we're insane.

Calif. Pastor Arrested in Iran After Shouting in Front of Saeed Abedini's Prison

This man of God was arrested in Iran for shouting in front of a prison, 'Let my people go!'  Pastor Eddie Romero is very courageous, a type of spirit we don't see much among clergy members today.  God had to tell him to do it and we know he will be blessed for it.  Wow!  What would this country be like, if we had more pastors like him?

Pastor Chuck Cooper's Megachurch Membership Shrink from Over 5,000 to 650

Pastor Chuck Cooper's church in Orlando, Florida is yet beautiful, but church attendance has decreased from the thousands to mid hundreds.  In this age of a recession, people may suddenly think that's the reason, but not necessarily.   It could be because of how the church is being operated these days, people just want a carnal church service or people are just not hungry for God as they use to be.

Black Church News: Pastor Pulls Gun on Robbery Suspect

This pastor thinks he was doing a good deed by holding up a robbery suspect at the Dollar General store, but we don't think God sees it that way.   Pastor Sanders allegedly says he saw the gunman demanding an employee to get on the ground and then suddenly, the gunman turned toward him with his gun.  That's when Pastor Sanders says he thought he'd teach him a lesson.   Wow, what type of day are we living in, pastors owning guns?

You see, there's so much carnality in the church, most pastors don't have any power, so many of them are now carrying guns, very sad.

The fact that Pastor Sanders said he told the gunman he was doing it out of love does not show the love of Jesus Christ, at all.

First AME’s Former Pastor Says He’s Troubled By Church Upheaval

Now, the former pastor of First AME Church in LA, Rev. Cecil Murray is speaking about the troubles that allegedly started by Rev. John J. Hunter.  He's very upset to see his church enduring such hardships and we can understand why, since he was the pastor for many years.

According to LA Times, a $13.5-million reserve was depleted and debts totaled more than $500,000. And some of the nine rental properties acquired as part of Murray's efforts to serve thousands of low-income residents now sit in disrepair, some infested with termites and mold.

This is very sad that after Rev. Cecil Murray's retirement, First AME Church has not been the same. Too bad, he didn't have a close friend or a child who knew how he operated to become pastor. Now, we can sort of understand why children take over their parents churches, most of the time.

Ex-Homosexual Ministry Sues London Transport Company Over Pro-Homosexual Bus Ads

Thank God for strong warriors within His Kingdom.  An ex-gay Ministry has filed a lawsuit against Pro-Homosexual advertisements.  We pray for the same courage in America, because although we do hear testimonies from ex-gays, we do not hear a lot of Christians taking power away from the homosexual community.  It seems as though they ruling the decisions of our government to make our nation anti-Christian.

'Preacher of LA’ Deitrick Haddon in Nude Photos allegedly surface online

The latest news about nude photos of Pastor Deitrick Haddon and his mistress surfacing the internet does not surprise us.  Regardless of his excuse for divorcing his wife, we don't think God is pleased and this is no doubt why everything is being revealed now that he's on 'Preachers in LA.'   SCR readers, pastors are supposed to forgive their spouses, not move on with another man or woman, just because they've been hurt.

According to Eurweb, FunkyDineva.com recently posted the photos and emails Haddon exchanged with his mistress in 2008, including a few images of Haddon displaying his twig and giggle berries.

We going to tell you what God said to us about Pastor Haddon, he is to return to his first wife and leave the past behind or nothing will go right in his life from this time forth.  In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Haddon in our prayers.

Black Church News: More Black Pastors Condemn 'Preachers of L.A.': Why?

Let us ask you this important question, Why are a lot of pastors always trying to cover dirt behind the pulpit?   We don't feel many of these pastors want 'Preachers in LA' off, because it doesn't properly represent them, but it's showing what's real.  Specifically the black church has always covered up all types of sins they commit, but just focus on sinners out in the world.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, the Rev. Michael J.T. Fisher, pastor at the Greater Zion Church Family in Compton, Calif., joined Perkins in criticizing the show, which broke records for the Oxygen network with its premiere episode on Oct. 9. "I don't have a problem with them doing a reality show," he was quoted as saying. "I have a problem with the content that's displayed."

Of course, we believe there maybe be two or three pastors on 'Preachers in LA' for show, but there are some serious issues a few of them are dealing with.  As we've said before, we admire Bishop Ron Gibson who reached out to feuding gang leaders. Then, there's a situation with Pastor Haizlip and his wife ministering to a transgendered man.  You see, this type of caption can lead more souls into the church.  So, what are they ashamed of?  Why are they trying to cover up, because Pastor Deitrick Haddon is being real and showing who he really is?  Are the worried that Bishop Noel Jones talking about having a woman would make people focus on what they could be doing behind close doors?  These preachers need to stop the hypocrisy and just start being real, because if they keep covering up their dirt, more sinners will stay away from the church.
