Black Church News: More Black Pastors Condemn 'Preachers of L.A.': Why?

Let us ask you this important question, Why are a lot of pastors always trying to cover dirt behind the pulpit?   We don't feel many of these pastors want 'Preachers in LA' off, because it doesn't properly represent them, but it's showing what's real.  Specifically the black church has always covered up all types of sins they commit, but just focus on sinners out in the world.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, the Rev. Michael J.T. Fisher, pastor at the Greater Zion Church Family in Compton, Calif., joined Perkins in criticizing the show, which broke records for the Oxygen network with its premiere episode on Oct. 9. "I don't have a problem with them doing a reality show," he was quoted as saying. "I have a problem with the content that's displayed."

Of course, we believe there maybe be two or three pastors on 'Preachers in LA' for show, but there are some serious issues a few of them are dealing with.  As we've said before, we admire Bishop Ron Gibson who reached out to feuding gang leaders. Then, there's a situation with Pastor Haizlip and his wife ministering to a transgendered man.  You see, this type of caption can lead more souls into the church.  So, what are they ashamed of?  Why are they trying to cover up, because Pastor Deitrick Haddon is being real and showing who he really is?  Are the worried that Bishop Noel Jones talking about having a woman would make people focus on what they could be doing behind close doors?  These preachers need to stop the hypocrisy and just start being real, because if they keep covering up their dirt, more sinners will stay away from the church.

Pastor Deitrick Haddon says there's nothing wrong with Shacking on 'Preachers in LA'

On 'Preachers in LA', Pastor Deitrick Haddon debates with Bishop Ron Gibson about shacking and says it's no where in the Bible.   If you haven't watched the video, it's beneath our post and you will hear Pastor Haddon allegedly say he has been to Bible college.   Doesn't he know shacking is committing fornication?  It's a dangerous thing to be a pastor and not know the truth.

In our opinion, Pastor Haddon seems a little twisted, because on the previous episode, 'Comeback', he argued with Bishop McClendon saying that he and other preachers should not have an entourage.  However, he does not know that shacking with someone is a sin.   This guy needs spiritual counseling before he pastors anyone, simply because pastors are over lost souls and if he leads people into believing that lie, then he will be held accountable in judgement.  It was very scary to hear him say there's nothing wrong with shacking and it's no where in the Bible.   How can he preachers to sinners about salvation, if he doesn't know the truth and has been allegedly committing fornication?

Black Church News: Bishop Ron Gibson, co-star of 'Preachers of LA' Explains Benz & Bentley

We carefully watched this video and heard Bishop Ron Gibson's reason for having the right to own his wealth.   When the host got on the subject of his Bentley, he allegedly responded he cannot drive but one Bentley at a time.  We agree it's okay for he and the other celebrity preachers on 'Preachers of LA' to own such wealth; but are they also making sure their congregants whom are poor have the same thing?

What about all the homeless people, is Bishop Ron Gibson, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Noel Jones and the others making sure they build some homeless shelters and give three meals a day to the poor?  If so, then, they have the right to their wealth and they can drive all the luxury cars the want to.

Pastors Rebuke New Reality Show 'Preachers of LA'

A few pastors are very disappointed in the show, 'Preachers of LA', but let us be real with you.  Isn't there enough dirt that has not been addressed in the church?  What do these pastors who are complaining expect?

We have a lot of preachers in the (black) church who are already showing off their fame and fortune and have mega churches full of people who idolize them as celebrities.  We have hip hop gospel and christian rock artists that are dominating the gospel music industry and it is okay with many pastors as they enjoy their luxury cars and million dollar homes.  Thirdly, we have a lot of dancers that are showing their flesh similar to Beyonce and Rihanna as though it's been made holy.   Last, but not least, we've got preachers like Bishop Noel Jones allegedly affirming homosexuals being involved in the church without rebuking the sin.  Oh we're not done yet, many high profile pastors wives are being quiet while women in the gospel music industry are spoiling their husbands with their performances while looking like harlots and they enjoy the money from the proceeds.  Oh yes, we've got young men looking like thugs selling drugs on the corner with their pants hanging down, singing christian rap like it's so holy.  What more harm can 'Preachers of LA' do to the image of the (black) church? Please.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, not too surprisingly, some local pastors have a few words to say on the matter such as William J. Smith of Saint Tabernacle Church in L.A.  Allegedly, Pastor Smith publicly denounced the show.

God bless these preachers for their opposition to the show, 'Preachers of LA', but their wasting their time.

Pastor Jay Haizlip Talks God's Deliverance From Drugs; Defends 'Preachers of LA'

Thank God one of the co-stars of 'Preachers of LA' is revealing he's not on the show for fame and fortune, but he's shared his testimony of how God delivered him from drugs.   We suppose the show is not a bad representation of God's Kingdom, after-all.   God wants testimonies of how He set preachers free from demonic forces, not showing off what they possess from tithes and offerings.

According to ChristianPost.com, Haizlip, 50 and married with three children, rose to fame when he became a sponsored skateboarding pro in his early teens and remains a notable pioneer in the sport. But his fame and victories on the halfpipe were soon overshadowed by a cocaine addiction after his first encounter with the drug at 15. For the next several years, while married and responsible for a newborn, he was in and out of rehab, desperate to kick the habit he knew was ruining his life and relationship with his family.

May God bless Pastor Haizlip for his sincerity and we hope the other pastors are also sharing their testimonies of deliverance on the show, 'Preachers of LA'.

By Nicola Menzie , Christian Post Reporter

Pastor Jay Haizlip of The Sanctuary, a nondenominational church in Huntington Beach, Calif., recently spoke with The Christian Post about his ministry, how he first learned about Jesus Christ while on his way to buy drugs, and why he believes God wants to use "Preachers of L.A" to reach those who might otherwise never step foot into a church or tune into Christian TV.

Celebrity News: On Preachers of LA, Bishop McClendon allegedly explains prosperity while agreeing with Jay-z's opinion

Bishop Clarence McClendon, along with Bishop Ron Gibson explains why God understands preachers being prosperous.  In a way, we can agree, because how can we have faith to get out of debt, if we always see struggling preachers?  Where it becomes an issue is when there is too much focus on money and not on repentance, that is what we feel God is not pleased with.

Bishop McClendon allegedly understands Jay-Z when he allegedly said, 'I can't help the poor if I'm one of them.'  Okay, we agree with that statement.  However, we must say if a preacher can just simply offer salvation, it's greater than money.  As our Word tells us in Matthew 6:33, 'Seek Ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you.'  Now, we must never forget that scripture, although it's okay to be rich, God's way.

In the meantime, we will keep Bishop Clarence McClendon and Bishop Ron Gibson in our prayers.

Bishop Noel Jones allegedly says Bishop T.D. Jakes disapproves 'Preachers of LA'

Allegedly, Bishop Noel Jones says Bishop T. D. Jakes doesn't agree with the reality series, 'Preachers of LA'.  We are very surprised by this news, because usually Bishop Jakes is allegedly known as a celebrity preacher, mingling with some worldly celebrities.  However, this could be a sign Bishop T. D. Jakes has been holy and not really what he appears to have been in the past to some people.

We are so very glad Bishop T. D. Jakes does not approve the reality show, 'Preachers of LA', because it's very unholy for these preachers (stars of the show) to show off their wealth.  Jesus did not die for us to flaunt how much we possess, but he died for us to be cleansed from unrighteousness, which is a privilege to win lost souls into his kingdom.   We are not supposed to be like the world, but be holy and totally transformed from all ungodly affairs.  Thank God, Bishop Jakes is pleasing our Savior, Jesus Christ.

'Preachers of LA': Bishop Noel Jones Says His Best Friend T. D. Jakes Does Not Approve

The count down has begun for the highly anticipated reality TV show/docu-series, 'Preachers of LA'. Earlier this summer, we confirmed the news, that saints, sinners and all of those in between would get a peak inside the lives of Bishop Noel Jones, Minister Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Jay Haizlip, Pastor Wayne Chaney and Bishop Ron Gibson on the Oxygen produced show. Celebrity News: Most pastors disapprove of 'Preachers of LA'

In this modern age of mega ministries, it does not surprise us some people are agreeing with 'Preachers of LA', because all it is is entertainment.   What God is concerned about is, 'how many souls are being lost while these 'so-call' celebrity preachers are showing off their fame and fortune?'  Thank God, most pastors disapprove of this reality show, because this means they see things through the eyes of God and if He's not happy neither we be happy with carnality.

According to BlackChristianNews.com,  "I'm totally against it," Pastor William J. Smith of Saint Tabernacle Church in L.A. tells theGrio. "When you put the church in the category of all these other shows - though I don't watch them, I don't have time for that foolishness - it demeans the church. It brings it down and it takes away the value of why it's here. That's why the church is in the condition that it's in. Because the church has, in a sense, aligned itself with themes of the world."

In the meantime, we pray that these pastors repent for their decision to star on 'Preachers of LA' before it's everlasting too late.  Furthermore, it seems like they would have learned from Zachery Tims death.
