Mt. Zion Baptist church in Chicago sue to get Pastor out of Pulpit

This case of Pastor Robert Williams being ousted by a few church members at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chicago sort of reminds us of the case in Bakersfield, Ca.  For so many years, we question why there has been some churches that refuse certain pastors, after he is accepted by the majority of his congregation. It's a dangerous thing to fire a man of God, especially if you know God has called him to pastor the church.  Such disputes should not be tolerated in God's house.


According to the ChicagoTribune.com, the increasingly acrimonious dispute pits a relatively new pastor against some longtime congregants. Besides the lawsuit, a threatening, anonymous letter Williams reported receiving led to a police investigation late last year. An order of protection tried to bar one member from attending church. And a February meeting ended with a call to police.

In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Robert Williams and the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chicago in our prayers.

Black Church News: Detroit pastor shot and killed at bank drive-thru

Another pastor in Detroit, Pastor James Blade has been shot to death, this time by a robber.   As children of God, it's time to govern our land, so we can start protecting are sisters and brothers in Christ. 

According to wxyz.com, the victim, 62-year-old James Blade, had just pulled up to the window when the suspect walked up to the passenger side of his pink BMW.  

If pastors are not safe in the streets, then how safe is it for anyone else?  It's one thing to say, we need to plead the blood and rebuke these demons that are controlling our streets, but it's another thing to unite and take charge over our nation.  This man of God did not deserve to die before his time.  May Pastor James Blade rest in peace.

On the Yolanda Adams radio talk show, Adams interviews Bishop Paul Morton.  Bishop Morton talks about stepping down from the organization he founded, Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship.  It's very interesting that he voluntarily resigned, because we do not hear of it too often, especially when one is asked to stepped down, after violating God's Kingdom.  However, we know Bishop Paul Morton to be such a holy man of God and possibly, he knew his timing came to an end to oversee his anointed spirit-filled Christian organization.

Christian Woman Offered to Pay Groceries for Man who stole her wallet

Jessica Eaves approached a man who stole her wallet while shopping in the store and requested he return her wallet.  She even offered to buy his groceries for him.  This is an amazing story. Most women would scream and cry for help, but Jessica's courage caused her to remain very calm and polite.  Where did that courage come from?  Most definitely, God. 

According to ChristianPost.com, Jessica Eaves, who is also the leader of the Christian outreach team at First Christian Church in Guthrie, reportedly walked up to the man she suspected of taking her wallet and demanded it back with an ultimatum that made it impossible to refuse.  

We thank God our dear sister in Christ, Jessica Eaves was safe while using wisdom when approaching this thief and hopefully, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior.

Former Homeless Man Now Pastor Sleeps in Dumpster to Help the Poor

Although Pastor Langdon Cassidy is no longer homeless, he is showing the love of Jesus Christ, by returning to the dumpsters.   He's sending a strong message by allowing people to see him as a homeless man to help people whom are yet homeless.  Tell us, how many pastors will make a stand like Pastor Cassidy, unashamedly?
According to ChristianPost.com , Pastor Langdon Cassidy of the Matthew 25:35-40 Ministry, a ministry solely focused on helping the homeless in Houston and its surrounding communities, took on the challenge to "walk in a homeless persons shoes" after having a series of dreams about it. In his recurring dreams, he constantly found himself inside of a dumpster while trying to grab onto everything that people would hand to him.
In the meantime, we will continue to pray for Pastor Langdon Cassidy, but we want to stress to the rest of you ministers of the gospel.  If you used to be homeless, don't forget where you came from, because God calling for men and women to help the poor and if you have a testimony, you can help a lot of people come out of poverty.  Of course, it's wonderful to always hear pastors testify about being on drugs, on alcohol and once being pimps. but we don't hear as many admitting to being poor.

Calif. Pastor Arrested in Iran After Shouting in Front of Saeed Abedini's Prison

This man of God was arrested in Iran for shouting in front of a prison, 'Let my people go!'  Pastor Eddie Romero is very courageous, a type of spirit we don't see much among clergy members today.  God had to tell him to do it and we know he will be blessed for it.  Wow!  What would this country be like, if we had more pastors like him? 

According to ChristianPost.com, Eddie Romero of Exodus8one, a faith group with a mission to "engage belligerent governments/societies (with respect to faith) directly in order to address the injustice towards Christians and other religious minorities," was arrested on Monday in Tehran in front of the prison. He had been shouting "let my people go" in the Farsi language, and demanded the freedom of four Christian converts and a human rights advocate being kept there, including Pastor Saeed Abedini.  

In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Romero in our prayers.  God bless him for his obedience and courage.

Pastor Chuck Cooper's Megachurch Membership Shrink from Over 5,000 to 650

Pastor Chuck Cooper's church in Orlando, Florida is yet beautiful, but church attendance has decreased from the thousands to mid hundreds.  In this age of a recession, people may suddenly think that's the reason, but not necessarily.   It could be because of how the church is being operated these days, people just want a carnal church service or people are just not hungry for God as they use to be.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, one of Orlando's first megachurches, Calvary has seen its congregation shrink from more than 5,000 to 650 about the size it was when Cooper joined in 1970.

Pastor Ron Carpenter Addresses His Confession of Wife's Adultery

After Pastor Ron Carpenter honestly admitted to his wife's alleged cheating, he now is addressing his statement before a group of pastors at his church.  It takes a strong man of God to make sure everyone understands what he is going through and God bless the pastors who are supporting him. 

According to ChristianPost.com, Carpenter, the pastor of Redemption World Outreach Center in Greenville, S.C., told the congregation."A lot of people talk about getting to a place where Jesus is all you got, but I think very few have probably been there… But you learn something in those times that you can't learn in any other place."

Black Church News: Pastor Pulls Gun on Robbery Suspect

This pastor thinks he was doing a good deed by holding up a robbery suspect at the Dollar General store, but we don't think God sees it that way.   Pastor Sanders allegedly says he saw the gunman demanding an employee to get on the ground and then suddenly, the gunman turned toward him with his gun.  That's when Pastor Sanders says he thought he'd teach him a lesson.   Wow, what type of day are we living in, pastors owning guns?
 
You see, there's so much carnality in the church, most pastors don't have any power, so many of them are now carrying guns, very sad.  

The fact that Pastor Sanders said he told the gunman he was doing it out of love does not show the love of Jesus Christ, at all.

First AME’s Former Pastor Says He’s Troubled By Church Upheaval

Now, the former pastor of First AME Church in LA, Rev. Cecil Murray is speaking about the troubles that allegedly started by Rev. John J. Hunter.  He's very upset to see his church enduring such hardships and we can understand why, since he was the pastor for many years.

According to LA Times, a $13.5-million reserve was depleted and debts totaled more than $500,000. And some of the nine rental properties acquired as part of Murray's efforts to serve thousands of low-income residents now sit in disrepair, some infested with termites and mold.

This is very sad that after Rev. Cecil Murray's retirement, First AME Church has not been the same. Too bad, he didn't have a close friend or a child who knew how he operated to become pastor. Now, we can sort of understand why children take over their parents churches, most of the time.

Pastor Ron Carpenter's Wife Apologizes for Causing Pain

It takes a strong person of faith to apologize when another person admits they have been hurt.  These days, there are many people whom profess Christ, but they don't care whenever someone is hurting from their offenses.  We think highly of Hope Carpenter, because she has apologized for causing her husband Pastor Ron Carpenter so much emotional distress and do doubt, within their congregation. 

According to ChristianPost.com, The megachurch pastor shared that both the Carpenter and Hilley families spent time talking with Mrs. Carpenter Tuesday for 45 hours and that his wife asked him to relay a message."She made me promise to let each of you know that she is sorry for any pain she may have caused and she received great joy in my assuring her of y'all's great love for her. I love each of you dearly and CAN NOT WAIT to see you... One day at a time..," read Carpenter's message from his wife.  

God can certainly heal this marriage, because Hope Carpenter has admitted she was wrong and apologized.  In general, God can never heal broken families, broken friendships or broken marriages, except when everyone admits they were wrong, keep that in mind and God bless all of you.

In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Ron and Hope Carpenter in our prayers.  God bless them both.

Out-of-Control SUV Plows Over Kids at NY Church Fundraiser; 1 Killed, 3 Injured

Saints of God, this teenager who was driving a jeep was killed when an SUV plunged into a group of children.  You maybe wondering why there are so many fatal accidents occurring among the saints of God, but only He understands the reason.  However, God wants us to remain prayed up, sisters and brothers. You know, how the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.   

The average modern day preacher will call it mental illness to always pray or say, we don't have to pray so long, ignore them, because they are ignorant.  Too many tragedies have been happening for a reason and it could be because the church has become to modern, but of course, we are not blaming the deceased and injured victims. 

According to ChristianPost.com, the incident occurred on Friday night as the car was exiting a parking lot on McLean Avenue near Coyne Park where a Roman Catholic church, St. Paul the Apostle, was holding an annual fundraiser outdoors, NBC reported.

Three Ministers at Grace Christian Center in Killeen, Texas, Killed in Car accident

These three pastors, Steve Timmerman and Terry and Janice Whitley of Grace Christian Center were involved in a one car accident that rolled over.  Investigators allegedly claim all three were not wearing seat belts.  Saints of God, this is very sad, but there is a possibility these three pastors would still be here if they were wearing seat belts. Be smart, beloved sisters and brothers, please wear your seat belt.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, Pastors Steve Timmerman and Terry and Janice Whitley were driving from the airport after doing missionary work in Bulgaria for 11 days when their vehicle violently rolled into the median, according to Renee Leach, an employee for the church.

HIV Pastor of St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church arrested for soliciting sex at Edgewater Park

Rev. James McGonegal has been arrested for soliciting sex in a Cleveland park.  We've heard of so many previous tragedies with these preachers going to parks to solicit sex.  We ask you sisters and brothers in Christ, why do they still do it.  What so bad about Rev. McGonegal, he informed police after he was arrested that he is HIV?  So, was he seeking someone to infect with his disease, HIV?

According to Cleveland.com, McGonegal, 68, has been pastor at the Catholic church at Lorain Avenue and West Boulevard since into the 1980s, according to records of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese. He has been a priest since 1971.

We sincerely hope this pastor gets some spiritual counseling, so he will no longer solicit sex, but also because he is infected with the AIDS virus, allegedly.

Pastor Hosts Bible Study Group Over Beer In a Bar: Is God Pleased?

Rev. John Donnelly, a pastor in Connecticut had bible study in a bar while drinking beer, allegedly.  The pastor decided that people would choose to meet in a bar, rather than church.  In our opinion, if they are hungry for God's Word, they would not mind stepping in a church.  You don't have to trick people into hearing God's Word and there is no excuse to sip beer.  We wonder if this pastor pray before making this unwise decision.

According to blackchristiannews.com, Rev. John Donnelly conducted a men's Bible study similar to this when he was co-rector with his wife, the Rev. Ellen Donnelly, at a church in New Jersey. There, Donnelly had it in the living room of his home, which was next door to the church. He couldn't host it at his home this time because he lives in Southbury, and he wanted it in the center of Oxford and not in church.   

We deeply feel God is not pleased with anyone drinking alcohol beverages while drinking beer, especially those whom preach the gospel of Jesus Christ or just proclaim salvation.   We pray for Pastor Donnelly, but we feel he's in error.

Kentucky Pastor arrested in Danville triple murder

A relative of Pastor Allen Keith think he was possibly framed and we believe it could be true. He is accused of robbing and killing three people at a thrift store. No matter how many pastors commit sin, it does not mean all of them are no good.  Therefore, we have to give each and every situation the benefit of the doubt, especially if evidence proves they could set up by someone.

According to wkyt.com,  Keith is minister in Burnside and a manager of a Somerset business, Gold Rush Gold Buyers.

In the meantime, we are praying that Pastor Allen Keith repents if he is guilty, but if not, God will work it out and he will be set free.  May all of three of these victims rest in peace. He was the pastor of Main Street Baptist Church.

The website for Swallowed by Satan says Sciambra hit rock bottom after delving "into the darkest recesses of the occult, Satanism, and eventually Neo-Nazi ritualism," eventually becoming a "sadomasachist master" and ultimately a "common street hustler."

If you have an addiction to porn or you are a porn star, it's never to late to be delivered and set free.   Jesus Christ loves you and He died that you may have a right to the tree of life, but you must choose to serve Him, He cannot force you.  As Joshua 24:15 says, choose ye this day whom ye will serve.
