Black Church News: Yolanda Adams Interviews Bishop Paul S. Morton

On the Yolanda Adams radio talk show, Adams interviews Bishop Paul Morton.  Bishop Morton talks about stepping down from the organization he founded, Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship.  It's very interesting that he voluntarily resigned, because we do not hear of it too often, especially when one is asked to stepped down, after violating God's Kingdom.  However, we know Bishop Paul Morton to be such a holy man of God and possibly, he knew his timing came to an end to oversee his anointed spirit-filled Christian organization.

Pastor Jay Haizlip's wife, First Lady Christy Haizlip hopes 'Preachers of LA' will lead viewers to Christ. In our opinion, we believe her husband and Bishop Ron Gibson are very sincere.  We believe the both of them are serious about God's business. However, the rest of the cast members we do not think they are doing a good job in leading viewers to Christ and we will pray for them.

According to ChristianPost.com, Jay Haizlip, a former skateboarder turned pastor, also shared the same sentiment as his wife in an exclusive interview with The Christian Post, prior to the show's first episode.

2,500 Christian Leaders Rally Against Gay Marriage in Chicago: Would Dr. MLK Join Them if he was alive?

We are living in a very sad age.  Who would have thought equality would mean to go against God's Word in America?   When Dr. Martin Luther King was living, we wonder who's side would he be on?  If he was a holy man, he probably would be marching with these 2,500 christian leaders in Chicago who oppose gay marriage, even after he fought for equality for African Americans.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, as many as 2,500 people, waving signs like "Marriage is Sacred" and "Marriage One Man One Woman," crowded into the Statehouse to keep the heat on the Illinois House and to block passage of the Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act, which has been stalled since the spring.

(Black) Christians are in a difficult challenge today and we wonder if Dr. King would join this rally against gay marriage, if he was alive today?   What did equality really mean to Dr. Martin Luther King, did mean going against God's Word to please homosexuals?  If we were to go back in time and ask him, he probably would think we're insane.

Bishop Donald and Pastor Phyllis Hilliard Celebrate 30 Years of Pastoral Service

It's so wonderful to know Bishop Donald Hilliard and his wife, Pastor Phyllis Hilliard will celebrate 30 years in pastoral service. Of course, it's always good celebrate since there are many pastors losing their ministries these days.   Certain ministries have survived after the recession, but many have closed, not just because of lack of tithes and offerings, but because of the personal flaws of their pastors.  So, it's very wonderful to see this couple celebrate 30 years in the ministry and we pray they continue to have many more.

Black Church News: Pastor Pulls Gun on Robbery Suspect

This pastor thinks he was doing a good deed by holding up a robbery suspect at the Dollar General store, but we don't think God sees it that way.   Pastor Sanders allegedly says he saw the gunman demanding an employee to get on the ground and then suddenly, the gunman turned toward him with his gun.  That's when Pastor Sanders says he thought he'd teach him a lesson.   Wow, what type of day are we living in, pastors owning guns?

You see, there's so much carnality in the church, most pastors don't have any power, so many of them are now carrying guns, very sad.

The fact that Pastor Sanders said he told the gunman he was doing it out of love does not show the love of Jesus Christ, at all.

First AME’s Former Pastor Says He’s Troubled By Church Upheaval

Now, the former pastor of First AME Church in LA, Rev. Cecil Murray is speaking about the troubles that allegedly started by Rev. John J. Hunter.  He's very upset to see his church enduring such hardships and we can understand why, since he was the pastor for many years.

According to LA Times, a $13.5-million reserve was depleted and debts totaled more than $500,000. And some of the nine rental properties acquired as part of Murray's efforts to serve thousands of low-income residents now sit in disrepair, some infested with termites and mold.

This is very sad that after Rev. Cecil Murray's retirement, First AME Church has not been the same. Too bad, he didn't have a close friend or a child who knew how he operated to become pastor. Now, we can sort of understand why children take over their parents churches, most of the time.

California Pastor Sentenced to Jail for Wheelchair Fraud Scheme

Why is it we are seeing more and more pastors getting in trouble, since this country has been in a recession?  Just because many church members don't have money to give in tithes and offerings, there's no excuse for breaking the law.  In this case, Pastor Charles Agbu has been accused of scheming for millions of dollars from medicare, now he has been sentenced to spend time in jail.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, Charles Agbu, 58, pleaded guilty last December to one count each of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and money laundering, according to the Department of Justice, which also prosecuted his daughter.

In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Charles Agbu in our prayers and we pray he repents for his wrong doing.

Black Church News: Pastor Marvin Winans Refused to Bless Unmarried Woman's Baby Before Congregation?

Who would have thought someone from the "famous family of imperfection" would judge someone else?  Pastor Marvin Winans allegedly refused to dedicated an unwed mother's son, because she is unmarried.  First of all, we cannot understand someone from the Winans clan saying such a thing since their gospel music hasn't been so holy among other previous family problems will not discuss here.  However, one question comes to mind, is Perfecting church for perfect people?

Let us share this with you, Sanctified Church Revolution is outraged and cannot understand why Pastor Marvin Winans and his church has allegedly treated this woman like as an outcast.  Just because his parents were married for many years, does not mean the Winans are a perfect family.  His mother allegedly admitted on a televised interview that there were problems in her marriage with the late 'Pop' Winans.  Also, if you have a church in the midst of a black dominated city like Detroit, how can you deny black mothers who have had black father turn their backs on their children?  Is Pastor Marvin Winans blind to this ancient problem within the black community that has hurt many single black mothers across America? Does he think-the Winans family is so perfect they cannot show love to single mothers who have never got a blessing of a wedding proposal from sorry Dads who impregnate women and don't care to marry them?  How dare Pastor Marvin Winans? Even Jesus Christ himself went so far to love prostitutes and women who had several men at one time.  Jesus Christ loved all type of people and never threw stones at anyone.   We bet he's like a lot of pastors in the church who embrace black men who are drug dealers, beat their women around the clock and leave them for other women, but look down on single black women, lesbians, prostitutes and other woman who have made mistakes.  Shame on him and shame on Perfecting Church that's not perfect!  We bet if we could go into any his church member's closets, including the Winans family there would be skeletons of all sorts of sins like homosexuality, adultery, envy, strife, lust and all type of mess.

According to ChristianPost.com, when Charity Grace heard that a special dedication service for children 2-years-old and younger is scheduled to take place at the church this Sunday, she rang up the church office on Tuesday to make sure her son wouldn't miss out on the blessing.  According to myfoxdetroit.com, Grace says she spoke with a woman who told her Pastor Winans' policy is that he is not to bless children of unwed mothers in front of his congregation. Pastor Marvin Winans declined to comment.
In the meantime, we will keep Charity Grace in our prayers and pray she finds another church that is more accepting to single mothers and their children.  May God bless her and her son, Joshua, what a beautiful little boy.

Black Church News: Bishop T. D. Jakes Apologizes for Terming Kenya as a Poor State

So many times Bishop T. D. Jakes has visited Kenya, possibly he offended those citizens over there, on foreign land.  However, Bishop Jakes has now apologized and admits he was wrong for saying Kenya is a poor state.  It takes a great man to admit when he's wrong and Bishop Jakes is very humble for doing so.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, Jakes explained in a written apology that his remarks were aimed to relinquish claims that preachers are extravagant and live off money from the church.

In the meantime, we will keep Bishop T. D. Jakes in our prayers.

Bishop Wellington Boone Says the Civil Rights Movement Divided Black Family From the Church

In the 21st century, we don't hear of too many black preachers speaking on black issues, so we appreciate the Bishop Wellington Boone's honesty.  He allegedly stated civil rights damaged the black family and from the church. In so many words and we agree with him.   In our opinion, civil rights does not focus on God, so no wonder we are yet seeing a lot of problems among black people.

According to Black Christian News, it is possible for black Christians to be truly conservative yet not lose their "blackness"; because if you have political aspirations, you will need your "blackness" to gain the support and votes of black and brown people. The truth of the matter is, there are many white conservatives who don't believe that Obamacare is the worse thing since slavery, or that the Civil Rights movement caused the breakdown of the African-American family.

In the meantime, we pray for many more African American ministers to be more honest.

Bishop T. D. Jakes allegedly calls 'Preachers of LA,' "Junk"

Bishop T. D. Jakes is really showing who he is as a man of God and thank God for his honesty.   Bishop Jakes allegedly does not agree with the show, as we heard once before.   We used to think of him as a celebrity preachers, because a lot of his associates have been celebrities, but we are beginning to see him in a different light.   Why?  He allegedly called 'Preachers of LA' 'Junk'.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, on Sunday morning, October 13 at the Potter's House in Dallas, TX, Jakes dissed the reality show, calling it "junk" and distancing himself from the stars' blinged-out images and flamboyance.

Although we do agree with Bishop T. D. Jakes, we still say a lot of damage within the (black) church has already been done with all of the fame and fortune and if the Devil wants to show what goes on behind the scene, let people see it.

Black Church News: Harlem Pastors want to Dethrone Rev. Al Sharpton as Civil Rights Activist, we agree

We don't feel Rev. Al Sharpton has changed because he's gotten older, we feel he has failed his duty as an activist, because he could be afraid of what President Obama will say if he makes the wrong move.  Let's be very honest, Rev. Al Sharpton is not the man he used to be.  He used to care about the needs of the black community and was very courageous whenever he spoke to the press.

These days, he's the host of his own television program, 'Political Nation' and hasn't even been heard much on his own radio program at the National Action Network.   We never thought we would say this, but in our opinion, Rev. Al Sharpton has become a scary puppet.  Furthermore, he seems to care more for the homosexual community than the black community.   Now, doesn't that say something about his immoral character as a minister?

According to ChristianPost.com, the ministers, who expect about 1,500 people to show up for the event, said Sharpton is nothing more than a personality who has been spending more time promoting his new book, The Rejected Stone and his show on MSNBC.  Not only that, but since he's lost weight and allegedly has been dating a younger woman, he seems to be putting on airs.

In the meantime, we hope and pray Rev. Al Sharpton will be very honest with the black community and admit he has not been as strong as he used to be when facing certain issues.

Al Sharpton and have invited more than 100 churches to join them in dethroning him from his political seat for his failure to lead on local issues.
