Some Black Churches Continue to affiliate with the Boy Scouts: Is God Pleased?

Again, there are some black churches disappointing God in this age of gay marriage.   It seems like whatever is wrong, there are some black Christians who make it alright.  In this case of the boy scouts, there are some yet affiliating with the organization, regardless of their homosexual policy.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, the Boy Scouts' policy change has caused discussion at other local churches. Scout Master Victor Jordan, who heads Union Baptist Church's decade old Troop 898, said he discussed the issue with Union's pastoral leadership and all agreed to continue the scouting program.

For certain, God is not pleased with some black churches affiliating with the Boy Scouts of America.   When are some African Americans going to make a wise decision and follow God's Word and not be followers of this world?

Family Research Council President Calls for Boycott of Betty Crocker's Support for gay Marriage

One thing about living in this wicked society, a lot of the products we buy are made by companies whom allegedly support wickedness.  Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council is upset that Betty Crocker supports gay marriage and so are we.   However, there are many companies that have made millions from Christian Americans whom support gay marriage.  Therefore, we must realize we must take dominion over America to stop gay marriage.

According to Black Christian News, in his daily commentary on Thursday, however, Perkins said the popular cake mix brand was mixing up its priorities.

In the meantime, we pray this boycott led by Tony Perkins will do some good.  Does God expect us to boycott every situation, if we are do not have authority in our government?

Mississippi Church apologizes for banning black community 45 years ago

It took this church in Oxford, Mississippi. 45 years to apologize for racial discrimination.   We cannot understand why the First Baptist Church in Oxford, Mississippi waited until the 21st century to apologize.  If we still had a white president in the White House would they apologize, ever?

According to oxford.wmctv.com,  when First Baptist Church leaders suggested an open door policy to allow blacks to worship alongside whites in 1968, the congregation said 'no'.

In our opinion, this is just too long to apologize. No, we are not saying not to forgive them, but some racist whites are forever apologizing and it seems like this particular racial issue could have been resolved before all these years. Furthermore, we wonder if there are any African Americans who would be proud to become a part of this congregation?

We know that the church is troubled in so many ways but to put age restrictions on who may be ordained as a minister under this denomination may be ludicrous and prejudicial...The overall average age of retirement is creeping slowly upward, but one regional United Methodist conference is promoting changes that would limit ordination opportunities for anyone over the age of 45...
