The queen of soul, Aretha Franklin admires her father who joined the Freedom Walk, regardless of some pastors not liking it. Of course, we know Rev. C. L. Franklin must have been a very strong-willed man, regardless of who were not in favor of his decisions, simply because he supported his daughter's career.
According to BlackChristianNews.com, despite C.L. Franklin's attention being torn in two directions, he pulled together what would become the largest civil-rights demonstration in U.S. history until the March on Washington two months later.
We admire Aretha Franklin bringing this up, simply because African Americans should know her father was a part of one of the most important era of history in this country.
