Now we know a lot of modern day Christians do not believe in strict dress code in the church these days. However, this pastor is very accurate and we really wish many pastors were holy like him. The reason why we agree with Pastor Michael Canty about this bride wearing this wedding dress, is simply because in 1 Peter 1:16, we were told to be holy and according to I John 2:15, saints of God are not to look like the world.
According to Zimbasi.com, after hearing how the bride was crying her eyes out in the back, a minister who was a guest at the wedding offered to perform the ceremony. When the minister asked the pastor for permission to perform the ceremony, the pastor told him ‘no’ and expressed to him how his request was disrespectful.
We need more pastors like Pastor Michael Canty. Many preachers ought to stop this old cliche, 'it doesn't matter about the outside, but it's what's in the heart'. If you are saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ you ought to appear very different from the world as well as act different. It's time to go back to strict holiness, saints of God.
