Rev. Joseph Lowery's wife, Evelyn Lowery dies at 88


The beloved wife of Rev. Joseph Lowery has went home to be with the Lord.   Evelyn Lowery had suffered a stroke.  We know she is certainly in a better place. 

According to MyFoxAtlanta.com, Mrs. Lowery was the founder of S.C.L.C. Women, Inc. the sister organization to the historic civil rights organization, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the creator of the annual Drum Major of Justice Awards that is held annually in April in Atlanta, GA. 

In the meantime, we will keep Rev. Lowery and the family in our prayers.  May Evelyn Lowery rest in peace.
