Black Church News: More Black Pastors Condemn 'Preachers of L.A.': Why?

Let us ask you this important question, Why are a lot of pastors always trying to cover dirt behind the pulpit?   We don't feel many of these pastors want 'Preachers in LA' off, because it doesn't properly represent them, but it's showing what's real.  Specifically the black church has always covered up all types of sins they commit, but just focus on sinners out in the world.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, the Rev. Michael J.T. Fisher, pastor at the Greater Zion Church Family in Compton, Calif., joined Perkins in criticizing the show, which broke records for the Oxygen network with its premiere episode on Oct. 9. "I don't have a problem with them doing a reality show," he was quoted as saying. "I have a problem with the content that's displayed."

Of course, we believe there maybe be two or three pastors on 'Preachers in LA' for show, but there are some serious issues a few of them are dealing with.  As we've said before, we admire Bishop Ron Gibson who reached out to feuding gang leaders. Then, there's a situation with Pastor Haizlip and his wife ministering to a transgendered man.  You see, this type of caption can lead more souls into the church.  So, what are they ashamed of?  Why are they trying to cover up, because Pastor Deitrick Haddon is being real and showing who he really is?  Are the worried that Bishop Noel Jones talking about having a woman would make people focus on what they could be doing behind close doors?  These preachers need to stop the hypocrisy and just start being real, because if they keep covering up their dirt, more sinners will stay away from the church.
