A few pastors are very disappointed in the show, 'Preachers of LA', but let us be real with you. Isn't there enough dirt that has not been addressed in the church? What do these pastors who are complaining expect?
We have a lot of preachers in the (black) church who are already showing off their fame and fortune and have mega churches full of people who idolize them as celebrities. We have hip hop gospel and christian rock artists that are dominating the gospel music industry and it is okay with many pastors as they enjoy their luxury cars and million dollar homes. Thirdly, we have a lot of dancers that are showing their flesh similar to Beyonce and Rihanna as though it's been made holy. Last, but not least, we've got preachers like Bishop Noel Jones allegedly affirming homosexuals being involved in the church without rebuking the sin. Oh we're not done yet, many high profile pastors wives are being quiet while women in the gospel music industry are spoiling their husbands with their performances while looking like harlots and they enjoy the money from the proceeds. Oh yes, we've got young men looking like thugs selling drugs on the corner with their pants hanging down, singing christian rap like it's so holy. What more harm can 'Preachers of LA' do to the image of the (black) church? Please.
According to BlackChristianNews.com, not too surprisingly, some local pastors have a few words to say on the matter such as William J. Smith of Saint Tabernacle Church in L.A. Allegedly, Pastor Smith publicly denounced the show.
God bless these preachers for their opposition to the show, 'Preachers of LA', but their wasting their time.
