Henry Louis Gates' new documentary should be very interesting to see. He will reveal the history of cars among African Americans. We suppose we'll also see some black inventors of some classic cars. According to Eurweb.com, in the 1930s through 1950s was a pretty dangerous time for blacks to travel by car as the towns that often refused to serve them weren’t really safe for them to drive through. Gates says some black drivers used “Negro Motorist Green Book” to find friendly places to travel along the way.
