Black Church News: Winston-Salem pastor arrested in $66K embezzlement case

Of course, we know there has been a recession for some time now, but there is no excuse for some pastors breaking the law.  Every since many church members lack funds to give in tithes and offerings, it seems like more and more pastors are finding some way to get more money, illegally.  In this case, this former pastor of Goodwill Baptist Church allegedly stole money and resigned after he was confronted about it. 

According to wxii12.com, John Albert Jackson Sr., 63, faces more 26 total counts, including 9 counts of felony embezzlement, 12 counts of malfeasance and four counts of obtaining property by false pretense and conspiracy to commit a felony.  

'Dear Lord, take the black church and even the multi-cultural church back on its knees to seek your face.  For there are too many preachers focused on money.'  Saints of God, it's time for pastors to be more focused on saving souls and not finding some way to crook their way into getting more finance.
